Semi Conductive Compound for Shielding & Screening of Conductor (Bondable) SCN90 |
Description
SCN 90 is a cross-linkable semi conductive compound based on ethylene copolymer designed for conductor shielding and insulation shielding in medium voltage cable. It is fully bondable type and compatible with copper & aluminum conductor, has excellent surface smoothness, and good scorch resistance and quite stable at curing temperature.

Processing Conditions:
As the material is highly hydroscopic dehumidified hopper drying at 60ºC for 4-5 hours is advisable to remove moisture and give excellent extruded surface.
The extrusion temperature may vary according to the extruder used, but as a guideline we recommend the following profile:
Extruder Barrel : 80-120ºC
Screw Cooling : 60-80ºC
Die Head : 110-120ºC
